A website and ERP for a business and first class ticket agency. A request from the site no longer gets lost on its way to a manager.
Numina
A furniture hardware catalog with 2,900 items: data from 1C, search in three languages, and showrooms in place of a cart.
Abouttheclient
Numina sells furniture hardware in Moldova: handles, edge banding, mechanisms and fittings for furniture makers and private buyers. Purchases happen in the showrooms. The website helps people pick the right item and find out where it's available.
Thetask
Close to three thousand items live in 1C (the accounting system), and their names are written inconsistently, with Latin and Cyrillic mixed together and look-alike letters from both alphabets. Numina needed a catalog that matches 1C and finds a product however the shopper types its name.
Thesolution
A catalog built on 1C data
Products, prices, stock and specs come in through the 1C sync. Editors only add copy and banners.
Search that doesn't trip over letters
Look-alike Latin and Cyrillic characters are normalized both on import from 1C and in the search query. So "ABS" is found even if 1C has it spelled with a Russian letter.
Where to buy
A button on the product page lists showrooms with addresses, not links to other people's stores.
Promotions
A discount is a separate entity: a percentage, a fixed amount or a new price, applied to one product or a whole category.
Menus without a developer
A menu item points to a page, category or product, and the link survives when that URL changes.
